We had the opportunity to review Smart Kidz Radio from Smart Kidz Media.
Yes, we still listen to the radio, but I have to be selective with the stations that play. I am the same way when it comes to the television and what my children watch. There is just too much “yuck” out there trying to get the attention of our children. It would not be so bad if what they have to choose from to watch and listen to was teaching them something positive.
Our choices are limited, so when I discover something new I have to share. If I am a parent who sounds like you, Smart Kidz Radio is something new you will want to check out for your children. Smart Kidz Radio is a network website of Smart Kidz Academy whose goal is to “share a vision of a world that is kinder, cleaner, more peaceful, and better for young people everywhere”.
Smart Kidz Radio is streaming fun and education of music and stories in a radio format that is available at the click of a button. It is geared towards children as young as one and two years old. From the moment your child logs into Smart Kidz Radio, they are gleefully listening to songs and stories about good character, strong morals and life skills. Instead of listening to lyrics of how to shake their booty, the boy next door or how to be a spectacle, they are tuned into a radio station you will not have to worry about having to censor. Another cool thing is that your child may listen to Smart Kidz Radio for free. All you have to do is sign up for an account and the listening fun begins.
The programming available through the free streaming will keep your child entertained with a repeat cycle and the occasional new story or song added into the mix. If you want to give your child a wider experience, the On-Demand streaming is something you may want to choose, because it offers so much more. On-demand gives your child access at their desire to programming that includes music, stories and podcasts. Logging into the station is just as simple as flipping the on switch on a radio (like how we use to do it in the olden days). The music immediately starting playing when I logged into the website.

I love my growing older children, but it is times like this that makes me miss the days when they were young. Everything was new and fun to them. Fun is still to be had, but it is a different kind of fun. They would have enjoyed Smart Kidz Radio.
I am going to warn you that some of the songs will stay embedded in your brain and keep replaying. Considering the content of the songs, I think that is a small sacrifice I do not mind making for my child who will be listening to good and fun music that promotes good character.
