We had the opportunity to review the online product Educeri Lesson Subscription Service by Educeri ……. Educeri a division of DataWORKS.
More than likely, somewhere along the road of homeschooling, you (the parent) as well as your child is going to need some help. It may be for teaching a subject to your child where you do not feel as capable. It could also be covering a subject more thoroughly or where some review may be needed for your child to better comprehend the subject. That is where the Educeri Lesson Subscription Service by Educeri ……. Educeri a division of DataWORKS may become a very helpful supplement in your school. The real plus is it can eliminate the chore lesson planning has become.
The Educeri Lesson Subscription Service has lessons for students in kindergarten through high school. It even has lessons for English Language Development (ELD). As far as subjects, your student may complete lessons for art, history, math, music science, just to name some. Although all of the subjects are not available for all of the grades, there is going to be some subject and topic within that area to benefit your child.
The Educeri Lesson Subscription Service has not been around long, having only been created in 2015. The subscription service is the latest educational resource from John Hollingsworth and Dr. Silve Ybarra, who created DataWORKS in 1997. Their goal over the years has been to “improve student learning.” Some of the ways that has been accomplished is by training teachers and providing hundreds of lessons that planned and ready for teachers to use for educating their students. I can not tell you how much time I spend creating lesson plans. Although I enjoy the tasks, in a very weird way, it is very time consuming. I also find that I spend more time on creating the plans than I do actually teaching the lesson and my children working through an assignment. Having this resource available digitally can be that extra helping hand a teacher needs in their homeschool or classroom.
After logging in, navigating through my account area was easy. I mentioned the subjects earlier. Within each of those subjects, there are topics that get more specific into areas where your child may struggle or just enjoy completing ore study.
If your child can read, they should be able to work through the program independently. The lessons are presented using PowerPoint. Some of the lessons we used were the math and history. River, Lily and Canyon enjoyed the history sections identifying state capitals, learning about the Bill of Rights. Along with the easy scroll through the screens, they were able to make notes, highlight sections and also erase their notes in the lessons they completed. That would be very helpful for a middle school through high school student.
The Educeri Lesson Subscription Service would be a good addition for any homeschool, because we never have enough time. I was able to pick and choose from hundreds of lessons for my children to learn and not have to put together any instruction. That was timed saved for me and a lot of learning for them.
You may try Educeri for free for 30 days or just start a subscription for $7 a month or $75 per year.
