We had the opportunity to review The Brinkman Adventures: Season 3, which is produced by Brinkman Adventures.
…and the adventure continues and does not disappoint! The Brinkman Adventures returns with season three and brings with it all of the fun, excitement and adventures we remember from its previous seasons. My children, unlike me, acquired the ability to appreciate and enjoy listening to audio-stories. I have nothing against them, but I typically get easily distracted; that did not happen to me with the Brinkman Adventures. It captured our attention, mesmerized our minds and kept us glued to a comfortable spot in the house while we listened to all of the episodes in pretty much one sitting. I did not mention there are five hours of listening adventure. We did do other things (cleaning, eating, etc.) while listening, so we were not just hanging around. We also probably did more sitting than anything.
Season three comes with four CDs that are episodes 25-36 of the series. Previous episodes may be heard on seasons one and two. There are four CDs in season three with 12 episodes:

The series introduces listeners to the Brinkman family, Jack and Susan Brinkman and their eight children, who are homeschoolers and missionaries “who serve the Lord and try to help other people ~ my daughter Lily. Although the Brinkman family is not a real-life family, the experiences they have are based on real-life scenarios. Names have been changed and names have been created when it comes to the many places the Brinkmans visit.
Once the CDs arrived in the mail, they were only in my hand long for me to bring them inside from the mailbox. River commandeered them and headed to one of our CD players in the house. Since I managed to jam a CD in our vehicle player, we were only able to listen to the Brinkman Adventures while at home. That is probably good, because I also wanted to listen to the story. Driving…story listening…distracted, not good combinations.
The episodes allowed us to see inside of the world of missionaries, the work they do as well as the many challenges they experience while sharing their faith. We saw the extended hearts of not only the parents, but the children in showing the love of Jesus. Missionary work is for all of us to complete regardless of our age.
Because the stories are based on true events, the episodes do not gloss over the experiences and show character strength through Jesus Christ.
I love that good family, Christian entertainment like the Brinkman Adventures has been created. Having the audio drama allows my children to enjoy a great Christian story while stretching their minds to visualize the action that is happening in the story. Each of them had their own interpretation as well as favorite episodes they enjoyed. Listen to a except from episode #9, The Provider.

The Brinkman Adventures Season 3 is available for $27.99 on CD and $17.99 as an MP3 download. Brinkman Adventures operates on a donation basis. They ask for you to contact them if you would like to purchase, but are unable due to finances. Also, they appreciate any donations above the retail price of the recordings.
